RCA Capital Trends, First Quarter Overview:
The First Quarter of 2022 slowed slightly with the disruption of the War in Ukraine, Interest Rate Hikes and rising inflation. The fallout from these events, if any, would be seen in coming months.
Q1’22 resulted in a 56% sales volume increase with a 17.4% price change in Commercial real estate. All sectors enjoyed strong double digit gains in volume, except for the Senior Housing and Care being down 48%, which is still struggling to find its way back throughout the pandemic. Check out some of the recovery in sectors that were hurt the worst during the pandemic; Retail up 102%, Hotel up 71% and office up 59% in Q1’22. Total volume is still lead by the Apartment sector with office in the #2 slot and Industrial slipping to #3.
